Apollo Music Cafe, March 4, 2011. Tuan X is a singer, songwriter, MC, actor, and poet hailing from the “Bed-Stuy” section of Brooklyn, New York. With a style that adopts and adapts from the many places he's lived & roots from, his lyrical dexterity screams NY and his vocals bounce gracefully between southern soul & modern R&B. He fuses these styles & sounds together to create his own unique voice. Tuan has been fortunate enough to grace many a stage. From the floors of City Hall and collegiate auditoriums, to legendary NYC venues such as Sputnik, Santos, Southpaw and Radio Star, to high school stages and rehab centers. He is also an avid supporter of the ASPCA, and has performed for their efforts in raising awareness and helping prevent cruelty to animals.
The masterful musician is hard at work on his debut LP; while in the process, consistently releasing EP's that display a wide arrangement of styles, genres, & moods. Tuan intends to take his listeners through a heartbreaking work of staggering genius: framing the ups and downs of life & love.
